Homestead Park has a new (tiny) building! Everyone is welcome to use this new hut as a place for the exchange and gifting of small trinkets and treasures!

The original intention was for the hut to be a place for zine exchanges, but obviously it’s not limited to zines.

We’re excited to be launching Homestead Park’s book club and library this summer! As the weather warms and the world unfurls itself for another season of growth, we are inviting readers to join us in taking time to pause, reflect, and learn.

In the Easter storm, the large Pinus strobus at the top of the meadow was blown down. One of the favourite trees of people who visited the park, it makes us face loss of all kinds.

York Zine Fest x Abundance Press have been running free drop-in workshops and events from Homestead Park Pavilion.

Last month, a coalition of groups hosted a ‘Community Celebration’ event in the Pavilion, in solidarity with York’s refugee community.
