For York’s City Nature Challenge 2026, we are having a slow, quiet walk around the park absorbing the birdsong as Spring reaches its peak. Join us and some bird call ID experts for some species recording and acoustic wonder. We may also have some overnight moth traps set which we can open and pore over their results too.
We will be opening the park early specially to make this happen, so it’s also a chance to enjoy the park at first light.

Meet near the Shipton Road entrance to the Park, under the Copper Beech, at 6am.
