For York’s City Nature Challenge 2026, join us for an exploration of our local flora and fauna.
We will meet in the Pavilion building at 10am for an introduction to the City Nature Challenge, how to use iNaturalist, and some tips for what species we might find. Then we will head out and spread out, seeing how many species of wild plant and animal we can find and record. This can be around the park, or also out onto Clifton Ings, which will be in full growth in late April.
There will then be the option to regroup and compare results, and get any help needed identifying your findings.
Meet at the Homestead Park Pavilion, in the corner of the main lawn, at 10am.
