A peaceful walk from park to park - for York Walking Festival

A guided walk in three parts with gardeners from Homestead park and Museum Gardens. We will start with a walk through Homestead park, exploring the plants which are most special in Autumn.

We will then have a peaceful walk alongside the Ouse, noticing the surroundings of the riverbank; listening to the sounds of different tree species, the calls of migrating birds, and noticing the colours of the changing leaves.

When we arrive at Museum Gardens, we will have a tour around of the highlights from the garden team there.

Starting point: The Pavilion, Homestead Park

Approximate length of the walk: 3 km / 2 miles

Accessibility of the walk: The walk can be accomplished entirely on hard ground, though there are sections of uneven ground such as cobbles and a gravel path.
