The rivers and us: Rivers2U mobile classroom

The Rivers2U mobile classroom will be visiting the park on Thursday 27th August for a day of interactive and fun session about our river!

Visit the mobile classroom and explore rivers, wildlife and habitats: the water cycle and techniques used to slow the flow of water and reduce flooding. There will be lots to explore; how is the flow of water slowed to help mitigate the effects of flooding? How can we tell the health of the river? There will also be the chance to view a sample of freshwater invertebrates from the river!

There will be two drop-in sessions running throughout the day 11:00am-12.30pm and 1.30-3:00pm

For more information and to sign-up to the event, visit the event page here.

To find the mobile classroom, head over to the Upper Meadow, see park map here.

This event is part of the York rivers trail: the rivers and us.
