Sowing seeds for creating dyes - York International Women's Week

As part of York International Women's Week, Homestead Park invites self-identified women and non-binary people to come learn about and sow seeds for creating natural dyes.
Over tea made from wild plants we will harvest on a walk through the park to see where the dye plants seedlings will eventually be planted, we can discuss ideas for how we may use the dyes-to-be…
There will be opportunities to come back to the park to plant the dye plant seedlings in late spring, and later to harvest the plant materials, to experiment with making and using the dyes, as well as to collect seed for future dye plant sowings.

The session is suitable for all fitness levels, though some uneven paths and woodlands are involved. Those unable to participate in the walk can join us for seed sowing in the glass houses and refreshments in the Pavilion.

Meet by the Pavilion building in the park - https://w3w.co/wiring.stack.soup
If you book a ticket and then cannot make it, do let us know in advance if possible so that we can make the place open to others.

Please book to take part in this event, as places are limited.
